I was inspired by Rei Kawakubo exhibit at the Met in New York City. I wanted to incorporate her opposites inspirations by using “tied up and loosed down” as my theme. I incorporated hip hop inspiration into my garment because of society’s negative perception of Hip Hop and how Hip Hop has inspired fashion and the impact it has had  in today’s culture.
